Quiet place

before me
           and
        in me

waiting...

Pam A.

As a woman in corporate America, I am a structured,
planned, organized person.
I let tough situations sometimes get the best of me.
I worry about troubling obstacles.

I want to be like the river, flowing, moving continuously; Small rocks are disregarded, they are no match for God’s river.

Large rocks – the river bumps against them, but yet, is not stopped.
The river changes paths and moves around them.
Continuous flowing river.

The river moves along, jumping playfully over the rocks.
Spitting and making bubbles – SWIRLING– quietly moving at the side,
Slow, steady and peaceful.

God helps all things along to their destination.

Ducks play in the water; the river is a safe haven.
I am the duck,
Who attempts to paddle against the river;
Rather than swimming with it, the rock is an obstacle for the duck (my daily obstacles);
But the ducks move around and continue on their journey.

The river, calm, just before the waterfall; Then tumbling down the waterfall. All in disarray, bubbling, foamy; Mixed and out of place. Then calm, quiet, serene.

A wonderful, thought-provoking
day with interesting wise women
and two wise, wise facilitators.
I feel like I am learning how to deal
with great wonderful changes in my life.

Merikay H.

Spa Sisters was an enlightening and grounding
experience. Not often do I take time out to think of
myself as a natural being that has my own natural
process and natural beauty. The journey of reminding
myself that I can enjoy being “in nature” because I am
part of nature was rewarding.
Shawna B.

My experience with Spa Sisters was a special time to nurture myself and to “draw” closer to God by experiencing His loving presence and showing this through artistic expression. I so enjoyed being in nature and discovered once again that nature is my primary language with God. Jan G.

I came with a chip on my shoulder,
not expecting to learn, not wanting to learn.
In spite of me, I grew as a person,
found something about myself I was not expecting.
Deb M.

A nurturing, grounding, wonderful experience. It was great working with
other women discovering ourselves and each other. Deb G.

This has been a joy… a rich valued experience that has seen me through
a period of change. My new “sisters” are real, insightful fellow travelers. I cherish their wisdom & openness.

The most effective way for me to feel at peace with myself and connect with God is in nature. I did not realize this until SPA Sisters. Now I know how to fill myself up again.
