NANCY BARRETT CHICKERNEO, PhD, is the Director and Founder of the non-profit organization, SPA Sisters: Spirit, Place and Authentic Self, nfp®, and author of Woman Spirit Awakening: Growing into the Fullness of Who You Are, Published by SkyLight Paths. A therapist for over 20 years and a professional water-color artist, she also enjoys joining creativity and spirituality in the workshops she leads. Of her outdoor retreats, she says, “Nature is available for each of us, and I believe that when we allow ourselves to be fully present in it, nature will show us much about our authentic selves, the earth and The Creator. One of her greatest passions is helping women come to wholeness. She has combined family, friends, work and fun, for many years.

SHAWNA BURKHART, MSEd, NCC, LPC, is a Life Coach and Licensed Professional Counselor with 9 years of experience. Shawna believes, “I /must/ live my life authentically if I am to help others do the same.
Nature is the best way I've found to give me that clear mirror for honoring who I am at my core, both spiritually and emotionally. The SPA Sisters program is a mindful, fun and life-changing tool in teaching women how to nurture their spirit and true selves.” Shawna grows herbs on her deck in the city, cans pickled beets with her grandma, and loves to hike anywhere, including the Alps and even Tasmania! Shawna considers it an honor to be present with other women as they re-acquaint themselves with their spirit and self. “Women are pretty amazing!” |

DEBORAH MARQUI, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in St. Charles, Il. Her mission is to help others integrate body, mind and spirit into wholeness. A passionate gardener and cancer survivor, Deborah has felt called to open her home with perennial gardens and wooded paths to the public.

REV. ANNE H. UTTERBACK, is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Therapist and an Ordained Pastor. Her mission is to help people experience a profound and deep experience of God through reflection and healing. Her background is diverse and includes leading both group and individual spirituality seminars including the music! Anne has over 12 years of experience serving church populations and is known for her exuberant personality and her love for God, nature and people. |

THERESE YONIKUS, M.S. in Ed., LMT, has 30 years of experience as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist. She is currently a licensed massage therapist and has her own business specializing in therapeutic massage, cranial sacral therapy, Maya abdominal massage, and energy work.
Therese also continues to be a learner, recently studying with Alberto Villoldo in Healing The Light Body School and is currently apprenticing in Carla Fox's Healership Program in Colorado.

NANCY ANDREWS, MA is a Liscensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and other Drug Addictions Counselor, Registered Art Therapist-Board Certified, Clinically Certified Juvenile Treatment Specialist utilizing EMDR and expressive therapies in her work with clients. Her connection with nature has inspired award winning art work as well as friendship and personal growth. Nancy shares her joy of life and nature with others in order to help create for each of us, a life equal to our heart's desire. |

PRISCILLA BRINKMAN is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and professionally trained grief and loss therapist at Intermission Therapies. She values the unique life story of each individual and finds meaning in walking the journey with others to view those experiences in a new way. Priscilla personally finds connecting with nature renews her spirit and sense of self. She looks forward to sharing stories of self discovery as women explore nature’s metaphors. |
